Director, Marketing
General Job Definition:
Plans and implements strategic and tactical marketing programs targeted toward existing and new markets by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
- Develops and manages marketing budgets.
- Plans and oversees advertising, promotion and public relations activities including print, online, electronic media and direct mail.
- Develops and recommends product positioning and packaging to produce the highest long-term market share.
- Ensures effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to see that marketing objectives fall within designated budgets.
- Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
- Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
- Guides preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to executive management.
- Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
- Plans and manages all company-sponsored conferences and client events.
- Coordinate all company appearances at industry conference and tradeshows.
- Assist other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing or Business preferred with a minimum of five years related experience with progressive managerial responsibilities. Advance degrees are desirable.
Industry-specific Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated in depth knowledge of marketing techniques is required. Expertise in the markeing of investment/financial products or services is highly desirable. Past exposure to investment analytics, statitcis and quantitative terminology is considered a strong plus. Effective ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-management, internal and external customers is essential.
Sr. Analyst, Product Development
Tasks:
- Design new enhancements and products for our desktop and web applications
- Help develop product roadmap for products and product family
- Organize, compile and analyze user feedback
- Help to arrange and run product-oriented meetings with clients
- Competitive analysis (e.g, feature comparison)
- Help install and manage company-wide product development processes
- Gather, document, and prioritize product/feature requirements

Sr. Quantitative Analyst
Essential Responsibilities:
- Developing methodologies for analysis of both traditional and alternative (hedge fund) products.
- Assisting MPI clients in implementation of company's tools and methodologies.
- Participating in development of proprietary analytical software using latest research.
- Contribution to research articles and white papers.
- Conducting training and presentations.
Experience and Skills Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in investment research (traditional and/or hedge funds).
- Knowledge of performance attribution, multi-factor modeling, asset. allocation, portfolio optimization, style analysis, Value-at-Risk.
- Knowledge of statistical methods and time-series analysis.
- Advanced degree in Finance, Mathematics or similar.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of SQL and Excel.
Solutions Developer
General Job Description:
As a Solutions Developer, you are a key member of the Custom Solutions team, a significant part of MPI's overall Professional Services offering. The team designs, builds, and implements turnkey custom systems using a mix of mpi Stylus and third-party vendor technologies. Engagements are typically sponsored as part of planned IT actions and/or front-office business cases designed to enhance efficiencies and value-proposition for an organization.
Core Responsibilities:
- VB.NET GUI application interface development.
- Relational database design and implementation.
- SQL, and Stylus SQL* programming.
- Enhance and maintain source control environment.
- Assist in creating all "behavioral" and "structural" test and validation procedures.
- MPI Stylus script*, VB script, and MS Access database maintenance.
- Contribute and assist with technical support inquiries.

Analyst
Essential Responsibilities:
- Frontline analytical and industry support for clients in which general and specific industry and workflow knowledge is applied to client workflow situations and outstanding problems/challenges.
- Participating in and completing analytical assignments assigned by executive team and/or Senior Analysts.
- Training clients and new internal team members on MPI products and services, as well as the underlying methodologies and financial concepts behind them.
- Participating in live client training related to our company's main annual event, the MPI User Conference, including developing necessary exercises and helping conduct actual conference-day training.
- Planning and/or conducting testing of MPI's databases/data feeds to ensure quality output and smooth delivery.
- Verifying the accuracy of calculations used in our financial analysis tools in a testing environment.
- Participating in product-specific testing to ensure compatibility with prior versions, test for possible bugs, etc.
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of solutions, product uses, features and applications.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the financial industry preferred.

Analyst, European Client Services
As a result of fast expansion in Europe, Markov Processes International is looking for highly talented and motivated young professionals to join as Analysts in Paris, France and Moscow, Russia offices.
Job Definition:
- Support European clients in using MPI suite of products and solutions:
- Manage client support requests through phone calls, email inquiries, etc.
- Meet and train clients (asset managers, private banks, fund of hedge. funds, etc…) all over Europe (UK, Switzerland, France, Italy, Luxembourg, etc…).
- Work with MPI Senior Analysts in assisting clients with advanced fund (mutual funds, hedge funds) analysis and reports.
- Work internally on various projects:
- Enhance company's research and reporting solutions by designing templates, presentations and case studies.
- Contribute to software and database development projects.
- Contribute to internal investment research initiatives.
Education and/or Experience:
- Degree In Financial Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research or similar field.
- Successful experience in Asset Management or Financial Software Industry, with a first-line user or client contact would be highly appreciated.
- Familiarity with presentation of technically complex products.
- Foreign experience or degree a plus.
