Job Title: Analyst, US Client Solutions

Markov Processes International, Inc (MPI) is currently interviewing candidates for the role of Analyst to add to our team of key frontline client services personnel. You will directly interact with clients across the financial services industry in an effort to cultivate and expand existing client relationships and support complex projects.

Note: MULTIPLE POSITIONS OPEN depending on level of experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Frontline product and industry support for MPI clients across the financial services industry, including general Q/A as well as specific client project assignments and workflow knowledge transfer.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our flagship product MPI Stylus, our clients, their business, and the industry.
  • Implement tailored onboarding programs for new clients to educate them on MPI products and services, as well as incorporate their underlying methodologies and financial concepts.
  • Participate in live, client-facing training
  • Plan and/or conduct testing of MPI products, database feeds or other deliverables to ensure quality output.
  • Build effective cross organizational relationships with Sales, Product Management, Research, and Development teams to engage in problem solving and ad hoc projects ranging from training and documentation to research.

In addition, MPI often matches additional projects and responsibilities to analysts as their skill sets expand and interests become focused in relevant company skill areas. Analyst candidates will participate in extensive ongoing training programs at MPI in order to build up their skill sets in our products and the larger financial services issues involved.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from accredited four-year college or university. Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, and Economics majors are preferred.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America.
  • 1-5 years experience in the financial services industry preferred
  • Self-directed and motivated, with ability to work independently and collaboratively with a variety of departments at all levels of the organization to drive business forward.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation: ability to effectively communicate complex information and influence diverse internal constituents/senior management.

Industry-specific Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong interest in technology, finance, financial data, and quantitative concepts.
  • High level of proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Access.

  • Excellent interpretive and analytical skills and the ability to quickly master quantitative and financial concepts.
  • Demonstrated client service skill set and ability to quickly build client confidence and trust, a major plus

We are looking for an experienced sales professional with well established institutional relationships and expertise in portfolio analytics, alternatives and private equity.

Job Title: Product Manager, Portfolio Analytics

We are currently looking for an experienced Product Manager to help manage development of key functional areas of MPI’s analytical platform.

General Job Description:

  • Define and implement our product strategy for new product and /or content enhancement by collaborating with groups across the company such as sales, marketing, client services and software development.
  • Manage the successful planning, execution, and delivery of new features and enhancements for our industry-leading MPI Stylus platform.

What your day looks like:

  • Work as part of the product team alongside applications developers and business analysts supporting functionality, design documentation, test execution, and defects/fixes.
  • Support input on software functionality by understanding and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes
  • Convert business requirements into functional specifications
  • Manage product releases
  • Manage technical documentation, product materials, and feature guidelines
  • Stay ahead of the curve on cutting-edge technologies and trends & knowledgeable about our competitive environment
  • Manage scope and product expectations throughout the software and/or product development life cycle

Your profile

  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude

  • 5+ Years of Product Management of financial analytical software

  • Investment Industry designations a plus (e.g. CFA, FRM, CAIA)

Highly desirable

  • Hands-on experience with MPI Stylus platform or similar
  • Proficiency in Portfolio Risk, Performance Attribution, Returns-based and Holdings-based analytics
  • Experience with Factor models, Portfolio Optimization and Asset Allocation
  • Thorough understanding of Mutual Funds, Hedge Funds and Private Assets
  • Experience with the SDLC and management of code repositories

Job Title: Marketing Director

MPI is looking for a marketing professional to join our team in Summit, NJ. You will work closely with MPI’s executive team focusing on our key client segments and will be expected to design and execute the strategic marketing plan. It’s a hands-on position – you are the marketing team at the moment!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop and execute marketing strategy
  • Manage sales campaigns to support sales team in their effort to generate revenue
  • Plan and provide marketing calendar aligned with company’s key objectives
  • Plan and execute key marketing activities around conferences, road shows, webinars and others
  • Manage relationship with outsourced design and PR firms
  • Oversee and contribute to marketing activities, including creating high-impact marketing collateral, promotional email/post communications, web site content and targeted client/prospect communications
  • Provide input into budget process and manage costs within the budgeted guidelines

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of marketing experience in fintech, asset management or wealth management
  • Digital and social media marketing expert
