Job Title: Analyst, US Client Solutions

Markov Processes International, Inc (MPI) is currently interviewing candidates for the role of Analyst to add to our team of key frontline client services personnel. You will directly interact with clients across the financial services industry in an effort to cultivate and expand existing client relationships and support complex projects.

Note: MULTIPLE POSITIONS OPEN depending on level of experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Frontline product and industry support for MPI clients across the financial services industry, including general Q/A as well as specific client project assignments and workflow knowledge transfer.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our flagship product MPI Stylus, our clients, their business, and the industry.
  • Implement tailored onboarding programs for new clients to educate them on MPI products and services, as well as incorporate their underlying methodologies and financial concepts.
  • Participate in live, client-facing training
  • Plan and/or conduct testing of MPI products, database feeds or other deliverables to ensure quality output.
  • Build effective cross organizational relationships with Sales, Product Management, Research, and Development teams to engage in problem solving and ad hoc projects ranging from training and documentation to research.

In addition, MPI often matches additional projects and responsibilities to analysts as their skill sets expand and interests become focused in relevant company skill areas. Analyst candidates will participate in extensive ongoing training programs at MPI in order to build up their skill sets in our products and the larger financial services issues involved.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher from accredited four-year college or university. Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, and Economics majors are preferred.
    • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America.
    • 1-5 years experience in the financial services industry preferred
    • Self-directed and motivated, with ability to work independently and collaboratively with a variety of departments at all levels of the organization to drive business forward.
    • Attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation: ability to effectively communicate complex information and influence diverse internal constituents/senior management.
    • Applicants should be comfortable with phone, e-mail, and in-person communication.

Industry-specific Knowledge & Skills:

      • Strong interest in technology, finance, financial data, and quantitative concepts.
      • High level of proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Access.
      • Proficiency with SQL and programming tools (R, Python, VBA, etc.)
      • Excellent interpretive and analytical skills and the ability to quickly master quantitative and financial concepts.
      • Demonstrated client service skill set and ability to quickly build client confidence and trust, a major plus

Job Title: Business Systems Analyst

NOTE: MULTIPLE POSITIONS OPEN

The Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for the design, development and support of custom financial solutions that are created using our MPI Stylus software tools. You will be able to utilize proprietary coding skills to design and develop customized solutions which integrate with a client’s specific needs. The ideal candidate will be able to gather and document requirements for projects, and collaborate with product and development teams to provide analysis and recommendations for new product and/or content enhancements. You will directly interact with clients across the financial services industry and become involved in increasingly complex projects relevant to groups across the company. You will be expected to have a strong interest in financial services and the financial markets.

Job Responsibilities:

      • Collaborate in the planning, design, development and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications and/or content.
      • Identify, define and document requirements in a formal Business Requirement document.
      • Manage scope and client expectations throughout the software and/or project development life cycle.
      • Troubleshoot and support client issues and requests as they relate to their work product
      • Training clients and internal team members on MPI products and services, specific new or maintained client solutions, etc.
      • Performing in-depth testing for modified and new systems including, but not limited to, desktop, server and/or web applications.

Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or other highly technical concentrations strongly preferred
      • Self-directed and motivated, with ability to work independently and collaboratively with a variety of departments at all levels of the organization to drive business forward
      • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
      • 1-5 years professional experience. Financial Services industry preferred.

Industry Specific Knowledge & Skills

        • Highly proficient SQL
        • Advanced MS Excel/VBA or equivalent scripting knowledge

Job Title: Sales Professional

This is a position that offers a strong foundation for a career in investment-related sales and account management with significant opportunities for growth, education and advancement. You will have a significant role in generating new business opportunities through outbound activities (cold calls, emails and targeted research). You will work closely with senior sales executives in targeting high-value prospects to create new sales opportunities and future growth. By working closely with MPI sales and product specialists, you will also create and prioritize strategic target account lists across a wide range of client segments. The Sales Professional is expected to become knowledgeable on our products, competing products and industry trends, source and qualify leads, and over time manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to close.

You must be a self-starter, capable of learning and articulating sophisticated investment concepts and associated software solutions. This position will be challenging and educational and allows the opportunity for excellent growth potential in a collaborative, fun and energetic atmosphere.

Job Responsibilities:

      • Generate qualified sales leads via phone calls, emails and other research
      • Create prospect lists by conducting online research and utilizing available sources
      • Master product pitches for different industry segments
      • Conduct a needs analysis and determine prospects pain points and work closely with senior sales executives to correctly position MPI’s products
      • Engage with prospects, and establish qualified opportunities
      • Closely work with team to perform fund/portfolio analysis for client demonstration purposes
      • Coordinate appropriate deliverables such as presentations, online demonstrations and proposals when needed to advance sales process
      • Cultivate and manage MPI’s CRM system with focus on routing qualified opportunities to senior level MPI sales and product specialists for further development and closure

Qualifications:

      • Bachelor degree or higher from accredited four-year college or university.
      • Investment Industry designations a plus (e.g. CFA, CFP, CAIA)
      • 1-3 years of experience in a sales or account management role for an investment services or fintech organization
      • Effective communicator, strong interpersonal skills
      • Ability to work comfortably with senior management both within company and externally
      • Strategic thinking, creative problem solving, and analytic skills
